Frequently Asked Questions

How long are your meetings and a full treatment ?

A typical RRT “session” usually takes about 5 hours, divided into two 1,5 to 2 hours meetings, preferably on consecutive days or at the most a week apart, and with one or two 45 to 60 minute follow-up sessions. I also intend to provide weekly support groups.

How much do you charge?

Just ask yourself how much it would be worth to you to be free of something you have been stuck about. I will probably charge you less. I intend my unique approach to RRT to be of high value to you.

We prefer to charge for results and not by the hour. We can give you an individualised price offer based on your unique personal situation and problems. A full treatment should normally not be more than the price of a new set of Mercedes tyres. However our full fees should not be a reason not to be able to benefit from RRT. We also use a gliding scale. I also regularly host free online zoom calls for trauma, anxiety, insomnia, grief and physical pain. Contact me by whatsapp or email to learn more.

Do you take insurance?

No, I don’t take insurance because I want the freedom to work with people from around the world and in a way that I believe will be most beneficial for you.

How long have you been practicing?

I have been a medical doctor since 1988 and a practising psychiatrist/psychotherapist from 1995 until 2020. I am still a registered (non-practicing) neuropsychiatrist in Belgium but since Covid I have been working online with people from around the world as a “mental coach” and “mental health consultant” and diving deeply into Rapid Resolution Therapy.

With whom do you work

I work mainly with professionals (business owners, medical doctors, psychologists, coaches and others) from around the world, who want to be helped quickly, briefly and effectively with RRT in relation to traumatic experiences or significant loss, anxiety and panic. I also intend to teach my own approach to RRT.

I also work with anyone interested in clearing psychological suffering related to past experiences and getting a clear, peaceful and powerful mind.

What should I do to prepare for our meeting?

There is nothing you need to do, but it can be very helpful if you can email me all the information you think is relevant beforehand to be of service to you. Even if you are not as clear as you’d like to be about your goals, we can figure that out within the first hour of our meeting.

How many sessions will I need?

For some problems, like panic attacks or specific, isolated traumatic experiences, 2 to 3 sessions (about 5 hours) usually provide the relief needed. For more complex issues most of my clients find satisfying results in three to ten sessions.

How do I get started?

For now, you can contact me by SMS or WhatsApp (+31622786386) or by email: [email protected]. The client portal is under construction. After that, we can schedule an initial meeting. I also work over weekends.

What is your general approach to therapy?

I no longer think in terms of psychiatric diagnoses or that you are “messed up” in any way. We are all navigating in a very challenging environment. And almost all of us have to deal with a highly evolved mind that is functioning fine hard-wired. According to the RRT perspective, all emotional and behavioral problems are the result of how our mind (conscious and subconscious) has been processing data about what happened.

It is my intention to help your mind become clear, healing old wounds and helping you to access your inner strengths and to help as many subconscious minds as possible to stop generating useless, unnecessary emotional (and physical) pain and suffering, because all emotional and most physical pain and suffering, however well intended, is actually useless and unnecessary and can be discontinued. How to do that is one of the strengths of RRT Techniques.

My current practice is designed to help you feel and function better in short order and not to form a long-term therapeutic relationship. I approach every meeting as though it is my only chance at eliminating your problem.

While one or two sessions may be all you need, I am committed to helping you until you no longer feel stuck with problematic feelings and behavior. My clients are usually amazed by how quickly and painlessly we can meet their goals.
